Protein Shakes... Really?

Ok I'm calling on all you US gals out there who stil use protein shakes.... Which one doesn't taste like crap! I never thought I'd say this after my pre-op diet but I need to add some shakes to my daily routine and get some good weight loss happening here. In Canada they don't have a lot of options that taste yummy. But in the US you have a river fully of yummy options so I beg you to tell me your favorite Protein Shakes by name and flavour so on my trip to Boston I can hunt for them to bring home. I thank you in advance. <3

  3. I use and adore Premier Nutrition's chocolate protein shake. They're premade, so they're good for on the go, but I've been drinking them for breakfast even on days I'm home. I get them at Costco and I've heard they're available at Sam's Club, but you have to be a member for both of those. However, they are available online at this site...

They're really good. To me, they taste like the milk you're left with after allowing a bowl of chocolate flavored cereal to sit for a few minutes. Yummy.

  4. Labrada's Lean Shakes taste like a milkshake in a bottle. They are awesome. You can order them online at:

They are almost carb free and have about 25 g of protein. I even drink them when the kids want icecream so I am not tempted. They are that good. Well worth the price.

  5. I get the powder from GNC or Walmart. No specific brand but I use the unflavored one to add to a strawberry smoothie when I need a shake. I really have never found a real protein shake I liked. I also make a vanilla shake with the same protein powder (whey is best). But that involves adding frozen yogourt and skim milk. My preference is to add ice to any of the drinks to make them really cold. I do not find liquid protein keeps me full for very long and usually within 45 minutes I am running to the bathroom. TMI but that's how it works with me!

I never really embraced protein drinks. Preferred to get my protein by solids--cheese slices, milk. But if you like them go for it. You know I'm from Ottawa so don't see the stuff from the States.
