Goodbye Chicago... Hello New Friends!

I went to Chicago with expectations (my fault) as a newbie I thought it would be different... more sociable. Before I went I tried to figure out what people would be like based on their blogs and photos and then when I meet that person face to face I was often surprised at how wrong I was.... Im sure it went the other way too.

However I was blessed to have a wonderful roommate Jennxaz and meet some truly AWESOME ladies (you know who you are) who I plan to keep in touch with. I find it incredible that this piece of plastic brings so many different lives together sharing in this very similar journey.

I have found a new path to follow and I feel stronger now. I am excited to see what experiences that will bring.

  1. Oh, you had a blast. You got to meet me, right? :)

I'm so sad I didn't get to say bye! I had to run to the ticket counter and check my bag, and I didn't even compute that you had to board an international flight. Sorry!

  2. Sofie, I'm sorry you didn't have all of your expectations met. There is so little time and even though we are planners, we are also friends who only get to see each other this one weekend a year. I feel like I spent a moment with everyone, and I learned the very first year that sometimes that's the best you can do. Some people are not as talkative as others. Some just stare at you when you walk up to them. Sorry we all can't be besties! lol Glad you had fun with your new friends though. That's really what it's all about.

  5. You were one of the ones I loved meeting!!! I know I wasn't very outgoing or anything like my blog (I was pretty quiet the whole trip) but you did make me feel more comfortable than others. I just wish I didn't have this stupid ass social anxiety!!! So instead of shitting my pants in the corner I should have been out there more. Oh well! Another time!

It really was great meeting you and talking to you and I can't wait to meet each other again!!! Maybe I'll come up there, eh?! lol

  6. Sofie,

It will take everything I have to say this and I cringe at the thought of putting it down in writing.....

    But who fucking cares! bahahaha....

Bear with me, it's going to take me a minute to compose myself as I honestly don't think I've ever typed that word before! lol

On a serious note, you are a delight. You made me laugh and what you see is what you get! And that is probably why you have the thoughts you do. :)

I love you my canadian friend!
